We could spend Holy Week in La Laguna.
Starting on Friday the 22nd in the parish of Nuestra Señora de la Concepción at 6:30 p.m., in the Eucharistic celebration in honor of Our Lady of Sorrows.
On Saturday the 23rd, in the Plaza de los Remedios from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. there is a traditional palmo-making workshop.
On Sunday the 24th, it is Palm Sunday, in the parishes and convents the Eucharistic celebration is held in the monastery of Santa Clara de Asís at 10:00 the blessing of palms and olive trees is done.
The rest of the week we could enjoy with family and friends, maybe even have donuts, typical sweets of Holy Week.
WATCHING A FILM
I recommend a movie, which brings the whole family together to have fun, such as watching Inside Out, where we learn to tolerate our frustrations, seeing how Riley, who is 11 years old, has to tolerate hers in a time of change and it is fantastic to be able to see our emotions from another point of view. This movie is long enough to have a great time and short enough to not get bored, since it is 1h 35m. He will also have a second film, which will be released in theaters in Spain this coming June 19.
READING A BOOK
My recommendation to read during the Easter holidays is the book called “The Traitor’s Son” from the book series “The Path of the Forest Guard”, by Pedro Urvi. The story is about a boy who tries to clear his father’s name. Although he was accused of attempting to kill the king, he believes that his father was innocent, despite the evidence and witnesses saying otherwise. This book teaches not to give up, despite all the difficulties that the boy encounters and how hated he is throughout the kingdom.
